Linen hand towels are the loveliest heirlooms.  When hand embroidered hand towels attain antique status, they are as sumptuous as a bouquet of flowers.  I can never pass one up and I never tire of creating them in the old way.

   Napkins, table clothes, sheets and pillows are also sweet gifts
when hand monogrammed.

Most of my work is cotton thread on Irish linen.  However, my larger monograms are made using Scottish cotton twill and Appleton Bros. crewel wool.  The sky is the limit with wool.  Christmas stockings with children’s names are a favorite, but jeans are chic with wool monograms too.
